Happy Friday. I have the house to myself today. My husband took our two children to the County Fair. I live in a small rural county where school is closed for Fair Day. Just a few minutes ago, my husband texted me a picture of our daughter holding a big ole stuffed frog that her older brother won and gave to her. She already has a gazillion stuffed animals in her room, what’s one more to add to the collection? I actually refer to her stuffed animals as my grandchildren:-)
In my last email (subscribe here), I included a quick survey because I want to get to know you all better. That way, I avoid sending you things you’re not going to find interesting. If you have taken the survey, thank you so much! And please know that you can always email me. I like hearing from you.
The survey revealed that most of you like giveaways. The majority of you (79.4%) prefer books as prizes followed by Amazon gift cards (77.1%) and tablets (e.g. Kindle, ipad etc.) came in at (61.8%). The survey also revealed that most of you (82.3%) prefer to buy urban fantasy/paranormal romance books followed by erotic romance (73%), then contemporary romance (68.5%) and paranormal and urban fantasy (non romantic), science fiction and fantasy and mystery and suspense were basically tied at 50%. Lastly, closely tied at 30% are horror, dystopian, post-apocalyptic and women’s fiction books.
In summary, what I learned so far is that I need to focus on sending you emails with the following items:
1). the prizes are books
2). the prizes are Amazon Gift Cards
3). the prizes are tablets
1). Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance
2). Erotic Romance
3). Contemporary Romance
4). Paranormal and Urban Fantasy (non romantic), Science Fiction and Fantasy and Mystery and Suspense
5). Horror, Dystopian, Post-apocalyptic and Women’s Fiction
With the giveaways, I’m going to strike a balance between Facebook giveaways and non-Facebook giveaways. Some of you are not on social media and I want to make sure you are not left out. The same applies to the books I send you; my goal is to make sure I’m paying attention to the survey results and your feedback and only send you books I think you will like. For example, only 19% of you buy Literary Fiction books so I will rarely send you books in that genre.
If you haven’t taken the survey and would like to click here.
Based on the survey results, here are the goodies I have for you today:

Here’s the set up:
For some, rebirth is not a reward.
Centuries ago the gods demanded Ashayna Stonemantle sacrifice her demon-tainted lover. She did, and then ended her own life, but it didn’t fulfill her obligations to the gods.
Reborn into a new body, Ashayna has no awareness of her former life until her sentient magic manipulates her into seeking out Sorntar, Crown Prince of the Phoenix. The majestic and charismatic Sorntar reveals that she is host to a Larnkin—a spirit creature of vast power. If she can trust the word of a man who is part avian, he is host to her Larnkin’s other half. When their Larnkins awaken early and force them into an unbreakable bond, Ashayna and Sorntar are accused of being corrupted by an ancient evil. To prove their innocence, they must discover what happened in the past to pit bondmate against bondmate. As the search for the truth draws them closer together, Ashayna realizes she’s falling in love with Sorntar. But before she can tell him, his tainted Larnkin enslaves him. The gods demand she kill her beloved, as she did once before, but she will not do it, even if it’s the only thing that will keep her soul safe from his darkness.
